2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games

Attended by 650,000 visitors, 6,600 athletes and team officials from 70 member nations and territories, the Commonwealth Games event spanned 11 days across 17 sporting venues. Australia’s largest sporting event since the Sydney Olympics implemented forefront security measures including dedicated perimeter security measures and checkpoints. Numerous portable barrier systems were deployed as part of an integrated perimeter security plan with temporary checkpoints operated by Australian Defence Force personnel, police and event security.

“It is my pleasure to advise that Knight Brothers Pty Ltd provided valuable technical advice and support services during the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games in association with the deployment of hostile vehicle mitigation barriers which were part of the defensive measures implemented to ensure a safe and secure Games. I have no hesitation in recommending Knight Brothers Pty Ltd  as a reliable and committed delivery partner to any organisation that identifies a requirement for portable hostile vehicle mitigations.”
